About Gold Country Vibe

My family has a long history in the Gold Country area, my Great Great Grandfather was boring in 1830 Nova Scotia, Canada migrated to to Murphys, California September 15th 1860, where the Martells migrated from. Although I may look mostly like my Greek heritage, DNA testing revealed that my Nana Lois Martel had the strongest gene. The Martell women in my family have always been tough, resilient, and tenacious survivors, and my grandmother was no exception - she would even use a switch to discipline misbehaving children. Despite her strict ways, I remember her as a sweet woman who made the best tuna sandwiches and apple pie.

I have many fond memories of the Gold Country area, from kabobbing down the hill in my grandmother's backyard to camping at Lake Alpine and river rafting down the North Fork Stanislaus River. I even discovered a cave owned by my family in the 1970s, where I found a Mayonnaise jar filled with gold-laced quartz rocks that my great grandfather had mined for. I'm excited to continue exploring the area and engaging in lifestyle opportunities, all while helping small businesses thrive through GCV."
